Holliday Lake Junior Rangers

  • Holliday Lake State Park (map)

Explore the rich natural and cultural history of Holliday Lake State Park. This program aims to help children ages 8 to 13 develop their own environmental ethic while enjoying hands-on activities including canoeing, geocaching, gold-panning, and wildlife watching. Kids will also learn about the importance of outdoor recreation as an essential part of a healthy lifestyle and the need for conservation here at home and around the world.

Friday afternoon features a graduation ceremony, for those who have attended both days, where they will receive a Holliday Lake State Park Junior Ranger patch and certificate. The cost is $25.00 per child for the two-day program.

Please bring lunch, a water bottle, and a backpack both days. For more information and to register for this program, please contact the Park Office or email Evan.Spears@dcr.virginia.gov.
